Archival recordings from America's first doom band to be released February 23rd

Relapse Records is proud to announce the official re-release of BEDEMON's archival recordings, "Child of Darkness". Widely considered America's first doom metal band, BEDEMON formed in 1973 and consisted of original Pentagram members Randy Palmer, Geof O'Keefe, and Bobby Liebling. The group was an offshoot of Pentagram, with a darker and doomier tone. BEDEMON recorded various sessions spanning from 1973-1979 which are being made available once again after being out-of-print for over 10 years.

Child of Darkness will be made available on CD/LP on February 20 in GAS, Benelux and Finland, February 23 in the rest of Europe and UK and on February 24 in the US. BONGZILLA became a classic band of the Sludge/Doom/Stoner scene in the beginning of the 2000s with albums like "Stash" or "Gateway". In 2005 their last studio album "Amerijuanican" recorded with "Dixie" Dave Collins bass-player of WEEDEATER as a member came out. Later the band got into a hiatus till now, during this period some members have been active in other musical projects like AQUILONIAN, with Mike (vocalist/guitarrist) and Magma (Drummer). BONGZILLA returns to the stages only for now with the line-up of the "Gateaway" album. There will be gigs in the U.S. and a bunch of selected gigs in Europe and Russia, including performances at festivals like Temples in Bristol, U.K., and Heavy Days in Doomtown in Copenhagen, Denmark.

It’s been nearly three years since Grifter’s self-titled debut album was released on Ripple Music in 2011. That album was a critical success garnering impressive reviews and hitting the year-end best-of lists on such notable sites as The Obelisk, The Soda Shop, Chybucca Sounds, Heavy Planet and plenty more. Grifter supported the release with a UK tour as special guests to Orange Goblin and slots at various festivals such as the inaugural Desertfest London and Freak Valley Festival in 2012 and in 2013 at Britain’s prestigious Bloodstock Festival and Hard Rock Hell.

It’s 2014 and Grifter are set to release their second album "The Return Of The Bearded Brethren" once again through Ripple Music. Whereas the first album was a bunch of tracks the band had spanning their career up to that point the new album with written with one aim in mind: to write a killer album that would hit hard from start to finish yet contained songs that would kick arse in their own right. RIPPLE MUSIC is proud to announce the signing of acclaimed, hard-hitting acid biker heavy rockers, SPACE PROBE TAURUS to their ever-expanding roster!

Space Probe Taurus has been around in one form or another since 1992, but it wasn't until a name change and shortening of the songs in 1997 that the band settled down into doing what they still do today: preaching the gospel of dirty garage rock Swedish style. Their music has been called Biker Movie Acid Fuzz and that sums it up as well as anything we could say!

Since the release of the Blue Cheer tribute CD “Blue Explosion”, by Black Widow Records, the band has been part of many compilations. And the year after saw the release of their first own record, the “Insect City” EP on Game Two/Slowdive Records. The band has also been involved deeply in the American low budget movie scene, first providing a song for the “I Am Vengeance” soundtrack (released by Meteor City Records in 2001), then having 12 songs in the movie “Actress Apocalypse”. Upcoming in 2014 is the movie “Franklin” which will include yet another song (a demo version of the song “Mondo Satan”).

In 2008 it was time for the first album, a self-titled debut released by the Belgian label Buzzville Records, which got outstanding reviews from all over the world.

Since the release of the album the band has kept writing new material, played live and kept recording new demos. In 2012 the general feeling was that a new album needed to be done, and after a long process of deciding on the songs the band started to record, what would become the album “Mondo Satan”, scheduled to be released on Ripple Music in summer 2014!

UK Retro-power Rockers STUBB Sign Worldwide Deal With Ripple Music

RIPPLE MUSIC is proud to announce the signing of acclaimed, hard-hitting UK-based retro-heavy rockers, STUBB to their ever-expanding roster!

Stubb was formed in 2006 with Jack Dickinson on guitar and vocals, Aaron O'Sullivan on drums and Isa Bruni on bass. The power trios of the late 60's and early 70's were the blueprint for their loud driving, fuzzed up heavy blues rock. In 2009, Chris West joined on drums and Peter Holland on bass (both also members of Trippy Wicked), solidifying the first classic line-up. The band recorded their first full length album for Chris West's label Superhot Records, and hit the road, gigging with such heavy rock luminaries as the Gentlemans Pistols, Firebird, Cherry Choke, Steak, Sungrazer and The Machine as well as appearing at Desertfest to a packed house Purple Turtle. Making the trip over to Europe twice with Stone Axe from the USA further cemented Stubb's reputation as a solid live act with some serious chops.

With the departure of Chris West, the band recruited Tom Fyfe (ex-Olde Crone) as the new drummer. Tom brings another new sound to the powerful rhythm section as they prepare to head to Skyhammer Studios with Chris Fielding, January 26 - 30 to record their Ripple Music debut. The album will mixed and mastered by Mos Generator's Tony Reed at Heavy Head Studios, guaranteeing a sonic explosion of heaviness.

For the growing legions of Ripple fans, known as the Waveriders, Stubb will be another must-hear addition to the ranks of bands that already include such heavy rockers as Mos Generator, Devil to Pay, Mothership, Trucker Diablo and Ape Machine. You can bet that the combination of Stubb and Ripple Music will be a combustible mixture!

MOTHERSHIP to tour with SCORPION CHILD & KADAVAR

The Dallas-based badasses in MOTHERSHIP are about to hit the road with a new wave of retro minded rockers - SCORPION CHILD and GYPSYHAWK - this Fall, and will weave their way across the U.S., also making their very first visit to Canada! It was recently announced that the trio were added as the support slot for the Scorpion Child and KADAVAR tour; which kicks off in Denver, CO with the Snowboard on the Block Festival on September 14th. Also added to the tour package is Wilson and Metal Blade recording artists, Gypsyhawk, with whom Mothership toured with earlier this Spring. This will mark the third tour that Mothership will embark on in 2013, however, this will be the first time that the boozing bruisers have ventured away from the western half on the U.S.

When asked about their thoughts on this latest road trip, Kyle Juett (vocalist/bassist) had this to say, "We could not be more stoked that our Scorpion Child brothers asked us to join them on what will be one of the top, if not, the best touring Rock & Roll shows taking place this Fall. Rock n' Roll history is rife with brothers working together to create their artistic vision. But rarely do we hear about a full-fledged family unit embarking down the treacherous path of a musical career. In the case of Texas based Mothership, the Brother Juett (Kyle on bass, younger brother Kelley on guitar) enlisted the aid of their father, John Juett, to help get the 'ship off the ground. Raised on a healthy dose of their father's 70's-era record collection, the brothers began crafting songs fueled on the raucous and raw good time vibe when music seemed to know no bounds. Lifting off the pad for the first time in 2010, the band began to gain momentum and notoriety with their unabashed live shows. Knowing that the service of the family patriarch was temporary, Father Juett actively helped his boys find his replacement, and in late 2011, enter the mighty Judge Smith to hammer away on the skins. In early 2012, Mothership entered Crystal Clear Studios with Wo Fat mastermind Kent Stump manning the boards and by mid-year, the band self-released their debut album. It was the combination of the 70's-era heavy rock fuzz and fury mixed with the blistering guitar solos of the NWOBHM-era that drew the bands attention to California-based Heavy Rock label, Ripple Music. In the waning months of 2012, after a successful year of traveling regionally throughout Texas and opening for national acts such as Prong, Red Fang, Gypsyhawk, Earthen Grave, and Lo-Pan, Mothership officially dubbed Ripple Music as its Home Port and began plotting a course for their first U.S. Tour in early 2013.

DEVIL TO PAY: New music video & Tour dates released

Hoosier Doom Rock veterans DEVIL TO PAY released a new music video."Tie One On" is just the second video from their Ripple Music debut album, "Fate Is Your Muse". The video footage was filmed by Kris Arnold at Fountain Square Brewing Company in the historic Fountain Square area of Indianapolis.



Before being included on their Ripple Music debut, "Tie One On" was released as the B-Side to the GloryHole Records This Train Won't Stop 7-inch. The boogie-doom of "Tie One On" is described by the band as "ZZ Top and Trouble getting into a drunken conversation about the meaning of life." The video clip shows the band performing as well as relaxing at the bar, interspersed with various 1950's educational film footage.

The band also just finished up a string of Midwest dates with Columbus Fuzz Rockers, Lo-Pan, and have more regional shows lined up before an east coast trip this fall, including an appearance at STONER HANDS OF DOOM 13 in Richmond, Virginia. DEVIL TO PAY will be performing with a wide variety of bands such as SOULFLY, EARTHEN GRAVE, DAIKAIJU, INCANTATION and ZZ TOP.

Southern Rock from a Portuguese rock band? That would be CORRECT! The Fuzz Drivers are a blasting new sound formed in Lisbon, who are claiming fast fame in Portugal. The talents of Marcelo Vieira (vocals), Sergio "Mad Mag" (guitar), João Lopes (bass) and Duarte Carvalho (drums) packed a powerhouse of sound into their self-titled debut album, and now the band plans to do the same with Ripple Music.
